Despite that, UPS Urban Planning Services has been lucky to be working with the country’s premier boat builder Maritimo and have assisted in winning the Planning and Environment Court appeal that approves the last remaining site in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, providing a mixed-use marine and general industrial site of just under 58 hectares.

UPS prepared the Preliminary Approval and associated Plan of Development and Development Code that has been approved by the Court providing flexibility for marine industrial, general industrial and a wide range of supporting retail and commercial land uses. The approval also secures development rights to fill the site to a specific extent, including agreed loss of floodplain storage and acceptable impact, ensuring certainty regarding development extent and yield.
